This Specsheet is for a product which is discontinued. Please contact us for alternative products.
Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

The PC-Alarm Panel shall be Alpha Communications® model NC502, or approved equal. The NC502 shall receive alarm messages from the Tek-CARE®500 (TC500) Master Station Computer via an RS-232 connection and shall then transmit the alarm messages over a POTS line to a Central Monitoring facility, using the Ademco ContactID protocol.

The NC502 PC-Alarm Panel shall be capable of generating all DTMF signals necessary for message transmission, as well as decoding handshake and kiss-off tones received from the Central Monitoring Station. The NC502 shall report transmission status to the NC501ES Master Station Computer over the RS-232 connection referenced above.

TekTone® has designed the Tek-CARE®500 (TC500) to work as a system. Its NC501ES Master Station Computer has been carefully designed and matched to work with Tek-CARE®500 wireless and wired peripherals. TekTone® will not warrant or support components of TekCARE®500 that are purchased separately unless the components are add-ons to previously sold systems. TekTone® will also not warrant or support a system that is a mix of TekTone® and Non-TekTone® parts, unless prior written permission has been obtained. In order to track our systems and to inform facilities of software upgrades, full site information (site name, address and phone number) will be required when ordering. Site information and NC501ES warranty number will also be required when requesting technical support.
NC502 PC-Alarm Panel

The Alpha Communications® NC502 provides an interface between the Tek-CARE®500 (TC500) Wireless Emergency Call System's NC501ES Master Station Computer and a POTS line for the purpose of sending alarm messages to a Central Station monitoring facility. This provides for an alternate annunciation path, in addition to the normal TekCARE®500 screen. The NC502 PC-Alarm Panel is external to the NC501ES Master Station Computer and has its own 12VDC power adapter (supplied). Connection to the NC501ES Master Station Computer is accomplished via a standard straight serial cable and a USB to serial adapter (supplied). A standard 6-position/2-wire telephone cable (supplied) is used to connect the unit to the telephone wall jack.
