The Emergency Call switch(es) shall be Alpha Communications® model SF119/4B or approved equal with pull cord operated switch, mounted on a durable ABS plastic faceplate marked "EMERGENCY". Signaling for assistance shall only require a short pull in any direction on the 6' nylon cord. Canceling the call shall be possible only at the point of origin. Unit shall mount on single-gang electric "gem" box or plaster ring.
Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and building codes.
The Alpha Communications® SF119/4B Emergency Switch features a rugged, long-life, positive-acting switch mounted on a durable ABS plastic faceplate. Signaling an emergency requires just a short pull on the 6' long nylon cord, in any direction. The signal cannot be canceled except at the point of origin. It is primarily designed to be used with the AlphaStatus™ room status system, but can be used for other low-voltage applications as well.
The SF119/4B provides four separate circuits to operate 4 separate signaling devices, such as a remote annunciator lamp, and a corridor dome lamp, a corridor zone lamp, or other similar type application.
The SF119/4B features a rugged, long-life, positive-acting switch mounted on a flame retardant type ABS plastic faceplate marked "EMERGENCY".
If a 'call placed' or 'call assurance' capability is required, we recommend that you use our SF118 series pull cords, which have a built-in Red L.E.D. 'call placed' indicator.
