The Repeater(s) shall be Alpha Communications® / TekTone NC511 or approved equal. The Repeater shall increase the alarm transmission range. The repeater shall provide at least 200 milliwatts of effective radiated RF power. The repeater(s) shall have the ability to communicate with other repeaters, thus allowing for multiple repeaters to be installed as a micro-cellular network. Alarm and supervisory check-in signals from transmitters shall be maintained reliably with multiple repeaters in the system. The repeater shall not require a home-run wire back to the receiver or panel.
TekTone® has designed the Tek-CARE®500 (TC500) to work as a system. Its NC501 Master Station Computer has been carefully designed and matched to work with Tek-CARE®500 wireless and wired peripherals. TekTone® will not warrant or support components of Tek-CARE®500 that are purchased separately unless the components are add-ons to previously sold systems. TekTone® will also not warrant or support a system that is a mix of TekTone® and Non-TekTone® parts, unless prior written permission has been obtained. In order to track our systems and to inform facilities of software upgrades, full site information (site name, address and phone number) will be required when ordering. Site information and NC501 warranty number will also be required when requesting technical support.
The Alpha Communications® / TekTone NC511 is a high power repeater for the Tek-CARE®500 (NC500) Wireless Emergency Call System. The NC511 repeater allows greater distances between the Tek-CARE®500 Transmitters and Receiver. The repeater's transmitter offers up to four (4) miles of open field range. This dramatic increase in range makes this transceiver a practical wireless solution for open-air installations such as campuses, multi-story buildings, and other large wireless projects. Wireless radio protocols and Signal Synchronization Technology™ allow the repeater to act intelligently, amplifying transmissions from any Tek-CARE®500 transmitter, while ignoring background noise.
