The receiver(s) shall be Alpha Communications® / TekTone NC510 or approved equal. The receiver shall interface with the NC501 Master Station Computer. A serial data interface shall translate messages from the wireless receiver to the NC501. The receiver shall send communications from up to 65,532 transmitters to the NC501 Master Station Computer. The receiver shall report the following transmitter fault conditions: low battery, tamper and missing-with a programmable supervision window of 1 to 24 hours. The receiver shall use a frequency-hopping spread spectrum with an operating frequency of 902-928 MHz.
TekTone® has designed the Tek-CARE®500 to work as a system. Its NC501 Master Station Computer has been carefully designed and matched to work with Tek-CARE®500 wireless and wired peripherals. TekTone® will not warrant or support components of Tek-CARE®500 that are purchased separately unless the components are add-ons to previously sold systems. TekTone® will also not warrant or support a system that is a mix of TekTone® and Non-TekTone® parts, unless prior written permission has been obtained. In order to track our systems and to inform facilities of software upgrades, full site information (site name, address and phone number) will be required when ordering. Site information and NC501 warranty number will also be required when requesting technical support.
The Alpha Communications® / TekTone NC510 Receiver enables communication between transmitters and the NC501 Master Station Computer in a TekCARE®500 Wireless Emergency Call System. The NC510 facilitates the supervision of all transmitters. The NC510's Frequency Agile® 900 MHz spread-spectrum radio provides reliability, even in hostile or difficult radio environments. Dual antennas, combined with Frequency Agile® technology, minimizes nulls or dead spots. The NC510 Receiver includes a slot through the bottom of the case for wiring, and has a metal case with side-set screws for easy access to the reset button and programming cable header. Transmitters are programmed using default information stored in the receiver.
