Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

The visual only single patient station(s) shall be Alpha Communications® / TekTone SF380P, or approved equal and shall include a lighted 'CALL-PLACED' indicator, a 'CANCEL' button, and a jack for the required model SF301G (single) call-cords or model SF302G (double) call-cords (or other specialty type cords as required). Calls will be registered at the master station(s), corridor light(s) and any optional corridor zone lights. The station's 'CALL-PLACED' LED will light if the call switch is pushed or of the call-cord is removed from its jack. All electronic components needed for these features and functions shall be mounted on a printed circuit board and all station components shall be mounted on a rugged ABS (White) plastic faceplate. The station shall be mounted into a standard single gang electrical box (or ring). A plug-in connector shall be provided for connections.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and building codes.

SF380P Single Bed Visual Only Patient Station

The Alpha Communications® / TekTone SF380P visual only patient station uses micro-controller technology. The SF380P is used primarily with the NC300II series nurse-call systems and it controls two (2) dome indicators (Red and White), senses button presses and switch closures, and provides ROUTINE, BATH EMERGENCY, and NURSE PRESENCE calls (when partnered with the proper auxiliary stations).

The SF380P provides ROUTINE call input via a jack for the insertion of a model SF301G (single) or SF302G (dual) call cord set (or equivalent), and can signal a medium priority CORD OUT call. When used with an Emergency Pull Cord Station, the SF380P provides a medium priority BATH EMERGENCY call. The station addressing is accomplished using a seven (7)-position dip switch. The station includes a lighted 'CALL-PLACED' indicator when a call is placed and a 'CANCEL' button, mounted on a rugged ABS white plastic faceplate. NOTE: the factory now requires the use of 'pneumatic' type call-cords with these stations to minimize potential ESD issues.
