B-5243A Power Supply for Area of Rescue Assistance Systems

Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

The Power Supply (with Battery Back-Up) shall be Alpha Communications® / Cornell model B-5243A or approved equivalent. The Power Supply shall be housed in a steel (surface mount) enclosure, painted in a Grey baked enamel finish, and shall be supplied with a cam lock and keys. Unit shall be approximately 16.00" H x 12.00" W x 5.00" D. The Power Supply shall provide 12VDC (4 amps) OR 24VDC (3 amps) continuous supply, and shall be field selectable by setting SW1 to the appropriate position. The power supply shall operate at 115VAC/60 Hz. Unit shall be supplied with two (2) 12VDC (7.5 Amp/Hour) batteries. Battery type and size shall be sufficient to allow the master annunciator station to operate on battery power (in Standby Mode only) for minimum of 24 hours. 

The B-5243A shall operate on the 4100 and/or 4200 Series Rescue Assistance System(s), and shall be UL Listed.

Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and building codes.

B-5243A Power Supply with Battery Back-Up

The B-5243A Power Supply with Battery Back-Up converts a 115VAC/60 Hz. input to a 12VDC or 24VDC power limited output, and is UL Listed for fire alarm, burglar alarm and access control applications. The B-5243A Power Supply with Battery Back-Up is designed to be used with our 4100 and/or 4200 series Area of Rescue Assistance Systems, to provide system power and emergency back-up power when required.

The B-5243A Power Supply comes complete with power supply, enclosure, cam lock (and keys), battery leads and two (2) 12VDC batteries.
