Although only the size and weight of a conventional telephone handset, AA960, cast in ABS plastic, combines all the essential functions needed for effective internal communication in one compact unit: loud-speaking confidential, and total privacy. In addition the 8-character alphanumeric display, scrollable through 4 windows to allow for messages up to 32 characters, contain a variety of user information, such as volume status, microphone mute status and soft-speaking status. The AA960 is designed to be used with the CB901EX series microprocessor intercom system. It can be used with the RM5000EX series, but will not have the display functional!
Furthermore, scrolling the display when the station is not in use, it allows the user to choose between the station's call number, the station's programmed ID text (f.inst room number, name of the user) or the time clock showing 12 or 24 hour indication. The AA960 is designed for a desk use or wall-mounting using an optional wall bracket ( model GF933).
The AA960 acts as a remote control point for a microcomputer in a centralized exchange. The station permits connection to a suitable (optional) external loudspeaker (max. load 16 ohms) to increase the station's sound coverage where desired.
