Architects' And Engineers' Specifications

The access control system shall be Alpha Communications® / IEI model 233 Card Reader or approved equivalent. The card reader memory shall have nonvolatile EEPROM memory for up to 60 users. Any ANSI standard Track II encoded magnetic stripe card may be programmed as a user. Built in test feature confirms card acceptability before programming.

Assisted by the door position sensor input, if the card reader system sees the door being opened without a valid user entry, a 1 amp form 'C' relay is energized. This output can be wired to an alarm zone, siren, digital dialer, camera or other device.

The systems propped door relay can be programmed for a 1 to 15 minute time window in which the door may be held open after a valid entry. The system will alert you to any "propped" door by energizing a 1 amp Form C relay. This output may be wired to a siren, buzzer, guard station, camera or any other device.

The lock release relay is rated a 8 amps and is tough enough to handle any locking device. Simple programming allows the output to toggle (by code) or time from 1 to 90 seconds.
