The NC365A shall transmit higher priority calls first regardless of chronological order received. It shall also transmit four (4) different and distinct signals to enable the pagers to audibly indicate the priority levels of the call.
The NC365A shall allow for connection to a telephone system without interfering with its ability to connect to Alpha Communications®'s aforementioned nurse call systems. If connected to a telephone system it shall be possible to use any telephone extension in that system to send numeric messages to pagers. It shall also be possible to access and send any one of 50 pre-programmed text messages stored in the NC365A.
The NC365A on-site UHF paging system shall have a transmitting range of up to one mile (depending on results of site survey), and shall support up to 9999 pagers.
The NC365A Transmitter/Control Unit (on-site UHF paging system) is used to transmit alphanumeric messages and patient call information direct to pagers according to data sent to it from the Alpha Communications® NC300 (or NC300II) nurse-call systems, or NC500 emergency-call systems. The Unit is designed for on site paging requirements only and not for long range.
It will accept information from the nurse call CPE, Alpha Communications® NC350CP (software rev. level 1.93.1 or higher), or NC351 / NC351A / NC351A/2 at 9600 baud eliminating bottlenecks caused by multiple patient calls. The information related to call type, and room location will be determined by the NC350CP (software rev. level 1.93.1 or higher), or NC351 / NC351A / NC351A/2. The NC365A will prioritize the pending calls, sending the highest priority calls first. It will also send four distinct signals to enable the pagers to audibly indicate the priority levels of the call.
The NC365A can send numeric messages from any telephone on your exchange direct to the pagers. The NC365A can also transmit 50 pre-programmed text messages via telephone to alphanumeric pagers (10 messages come standard with each unit.) Up to 9999 pagers can be supported. The NC365A also comes standard with 5 dry contact inputs alarm messages 1-5.
The range of the system will largely depend on the site and location of the base unit. The base is supplied with a 1/4 wave BNC terminated, antenna. To determine the exact range of the transmitters, a site survey must be done, contact Alpha Communications® for details. For estimation purposes of a properly located NC365A, a range of up to one mile can be expected (line of sight). See the instruction manual for additional details. Other antennas and signal amplification options are available to increase range, contact Alpha Communications®. Battery back-up also available.
