Patient Station(s) shall be Alpha Communications®/TekTone IR255, IR256, or approved equal and shall be supervised from the central equipment. The patient station(s) shall include solid-state micro-controller technology, yellow "CALL-PLACED" indicator(s), and combination red "IN-USE" indicator and "RESET" button. Single patient stations (IR255) shall include one 0.25" jack receptacle for patient's call cord. Dual patient stations (IR256) shall include two jacks.
The patient stations shall provide for programmable privacy, paging, and patient call provide for connection of smoke detectors, presence stations, four bulb dome lights (LI387), and shall provide the circuitry to supervise code call peripherals and wiring. The stations shall provide signaling (via central equipment) to the appropriate lamp(s) using the specific flash rate on the four bulb dome lights to indicate priority levels.
The stations shall utilize a 2.50" x 2.50" speaker/microphone for accurate voice reproduction. Removal of the call cord from the receptacle shall result in placing an emergency level call at the master station. The call can be reset only by replacing the call cord in its receptacle. All station components shall be mounted on an attractive flame retardant type ABS plastic faceplate. Connections shall be plug-in type. The IR255/IR256 shall be UL 1069 listed to the latest 4th Edition Standards.
The IR255 single and IR256 dual Supervised Patient Stations are designed for use with the NC205 Nurse Call System. They provide reliable two way, hands free communication between patient and nurse; and provide for programmable privacy, paging, and patient priority from the master station.
The IR255/IR256 provides circuity to supervise code call peripherals and wiring. The stations provide inputs for the connection of smoke detectors, presence stations, and bath stations. These devices, when activated, will provide the appropriate signalling to the four bulb lights (LI387) that are also connected to the IR255/IR256.
Calling the nurse is accomplished by pressing the call button on the end of the call cord. Solid-state lights on the panel indicate the call has been placed and the intercom is in use.
If the cord is accidentally removed from its receptacle, the nurse master station will annunciate an emergency level call. The call may be rest only by returning the call cord to its receptacle.
