The Wireless Code Call / Code Blue Push/Pull Stations shall be shall be Alpha Communications® AlphaEcall™ 200 series model WES556, or approved equal. Operation of emergency signals shall be accomplished by a short pull on the (optional model CA015K or CA016K TPU plastic cord) or by pulling down on the Blue lever marked 'CODE".
The Red "CALL PLACED" L.E.D. indicator shall light to assure the resident that the call has been placed. Switching mechanism shall consist of a reliable DPDT switch. The WES556 shall be used in conjunction with the WSM555 wireless support module.
The WES556 is not designed to be used in wet or damp environments.
All electronic components needed for these features shall be mounted on a printed circuit board and all station components shall be mounted an a rugged ABS plastic faceplate. The station(s) shall be installed in a single gang ring with square box. Plug-in connectors shall be provided for connections.
Contractor shall observe all local and national electrical and building codes.
The Alpha Communications® WES556 Code Call / Code Blue Station may be used to operate all system code signals (except 'supervised' code blue applications). It may be used independently or connected with other call stations. All electronic components are mounted on a circuit board. The WES556 features a built-in Red LED 'call placed' indicator.
Due to the flexibility of its design, it may be used as a PULL CORD CODE STATION, or a PUSH TYPE CODE CALL STATION. The optional (model CA015K or CA016K) pull cord may be used for emergency pull activation, or if so desired, the standard LARGE BLUE push/pull down lever may be used.
The WES556 is used primarily with the WSM555 Wireless Support Module on the AlphaEcall™ 200 series wireless emergency-call system(s), but can be used and is backwards compatible with some older systems as well, as well as the AlphaEntry™ series (v5.5 or later).
