Architects' And Engineers' Specifications
The VM104 system power supply/amplifier shall be Alpha Communications® / TekTone model PK314A, or approved equal. Amplifier shall operate from a 16VAC (160VA) U.L. Listed power transformer (model SS250). Where required, contractor shall furnish and install the necessary PK311 booster power supply unit(s) and transformer(s). All wiring to power supply/amplifier(s) shall be low-voltage Class II wiring, installed as per all federal, state, and local electrical codes. Power supply/amplifier(s) shall surface mount right to the finished wall and shall be installed in a suitable environment that is free from excessive dirt, dust, temperature, humidity, grease and water. Power supply/amplifier shall provide the intercom amplification, video power and signaling power for proper system operation. Power supply/amplifier(s) shall be installed a safe distance from any source of electrical or other interference, or wiring.
PK314A and PK311 Amplifier/Power Supplies
The Alpha Communications® / TekTone PK314A and PK311 amplifier/power supplies are used with the VM104 series video-intercom systems, to provide intercom amplification, power to operate the electric door opener(s) etc., and power to operate the video monitor units.

These PK314A and PK311 amplifier/power supplies are designed to easily surface mount right onto the finished wall by means of customer supplied screws . Connections are positive screw terminal type.

Each VM104 system must have one (1) PK314A which powers up to the first 50 (or less) video-intercom monitor/handset stations on a system. For each additional 80 (or less) video-intercom monitor/ handset stations, use one (1) model PK311 booster power supply.

Each PK314A and each PK311 requires a separate 16VAC (160VA) low-voltage Class II power transformer for power (our model SS250).
